Placement Test : Analysis and Improvements Placement Test : Analysis and Improvements プレースメントテスト : 分析及び改善 ジェイムズ, ロバート ジェイムズ, ロバート JAMES, Robert Language testing Placement testing Streaming Reliability Item analysis A stratified sample of test results were subjected to statistical analysis to determine both the overall efficacy of a placement test instrument and also discover those areas where the test appeared to be performing well or poorly. The analysis involved deriving coefficients of reliability for the test as a whole as well as its sub-parts. Additionally, item analysis of each sub-section indicated the extent to which those sections were easy or difficult, and whether they successfully discriminated between stronger and weaker students. Finally, distractor analysis was used to discover how particular items were failing to work effectively.
