The results were as follows : Three facilities that were visited displayed distinctive features reflecting the current situations in those facilities. The three facilities were (1) an intermediate care nursing home providing memory support for elderly dementia patients, (2) an assisted living facility providing light nursing, activities, and other such services for elderly people who ware capable of living independently, and (3) a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) that combines the various kinds of facilities for elderly people. The study tour provided insights into the current situation in the United States, which is not seeking simple to maintain quality of life for individual elderly people by means of theory-based treatment, but is working to foster communities of elderly people and build comprehensive extended care systems for them.}, pages = {41--47}, title = {平成19年度海外研修報告(2) : 米国における高齢者施設の運営システムと特色}, volume = {3}, year = {2008}, yomi = {カツキ, タケシ and ワタナベ, タケミ and アカマツ, ヤヨイ and コイケ, タカシ} }
