| 内容記述 | 企業経営者はITに関する二つの大きな責務がある。一つは、ITを活用する企業能力を高め、経営戦略に活用する事である。もう一つは、IT時代における企業情報リスクを適切にマネジメントする事にある。今回は前者に焦点を当てた研究である。 ITケイパビリティの自己診断表に基づく診断結果の報告は今のところ見受けられない。 今回、ご協力いただいたIT活用優秀企業9社の協力の下で、ITケイパビリティの自己診断表に基づく診断を実施し、評価方法の感想を調査することにより、その有効性が確認できた。 IT使いこなしのための取り組みについては、日本のIT活用優秀な中小企業は米国の一般企業のIT使い込みの取り組みに関して追いつき、追い越している状況まで発展してきている事が覗えた。また、米国の企業のIT効果と今回調査したIT活用優秀中堅企業との間にそれほどの差がなくなってきていることがわかる。全般的に、サンプリング調査の結果ではあるが、日本の中小規模の企業においても、米国に対抗できる程に、IT活用能力が向上しつつあると思える。 The executive team of a corporation has two main areas of responsibility regarding Information Technology (IT) management. One is to promote IT capability within the company and ensure its appropriate support of corporate goals. The other is to oversee and manage IT security issues. This paper is concerned with IT capability assessment. The research reported here for the rst time applied a self-diagnostic methodology to corporate IT capability assessment. Nine small and medium-sized corporations excellent in IT strategic management cooperated the study. The self-diagnostic methodology of IT capability was found to be a useful and effective tool for enhancing corporate IT capability. Based on the sample companies used, the study found the level of IT capability and effectiveness of IT investment to be almost equal to those of US rms. |
