| 抄録 | The study on the two stages of the struggles for the oil resources in the Caspian Sea area has brought us the conclusions as follows. The first stage involves the struggle for markets between the oil industries in US and those in Russia from the 19th through the 20th centuries, when those industries were at the height of their prosperity. It may also be regarded as the struggle and the rivalry between Standard Corporation, USA and some European companies. Especially in Russia in the process of the revolution, the oil resources meant an essential source of revenue for the new government. In the macro history of natural resources, the petrol, after taking place of the whale oil, has been playing vital part as the strategic resources in the international politics. |
